Program Overview

Creative Montessori provides an environment that supports academic learning, creativity and social interaction.

Academic Learning
Our goal is to provide a rich and ordered environment to support the child’s natural intellectual curiosity. We provide specially designed Montessori materials to teach math, language, science and geography, and our three-year curriculum includes a variety of learning levels so children can work independently and at their own pace. Children progress along the curriculum as they explore and master the materials.

Creativity
Our goal is to encourage and support the wide diversity of children’s learning styles. We provide a variety of experiences to stimulate creative expression through building materials, arts and crafts, drama, role play, music, and movement games. We incorporate music into our daily program, with songs, rhythm instruments, and instruction with the Montessori bells.

Social Interaction
Our goal is to help young children understand and respect each other’s needs and differences, and to help them learn the language and social skills necessary to get along well with others. Developing independence and self-management is the foundation of these skills, while interpersonal skills build on experiences with peers. The class includes children from the ages of 2 1/2 to 6 in one group; this allows each child the opportunity to relate to both older and younger classmates. It also promotes cooperation, while encouraging peer teaching and role modeling.
