Our goal is to help young children understand and respect each other’s needs and differences, and to help them learn the language and social skills necessary to get along well with others. Developing independence and self-management is the foundation of these skills, while interpersonal skills build on experiences with peers. The class includes children from the ages of 2 1/2 to 6 in one group; this allows each child the opportunity to relate to both older and younger classmates. It also promotes cooperation, while encouraging peer teaching and role modeling.
